A Letter from Paco de la Muerte
Our dear writer, Paco de la Muerte, has been writing letters to us from an undisclosed location. Just recently we received a letter of concern about a series of visions and dreams he’s been having based on a dream projected symbol captured by our Electrocast. We are all, frankly, quite concerned, since we have not yet been disturbed by our Electrocast’s images and Paco would not waste his special stationary on a topic that was not truly bothering him. If you are aware of the symbol’s meaning, please contact us as soon as possible in order to ease Paco’s mind. We are currently sending him letters through his friend, Maria, who is the only one aware of his true location.
thank you,
Priest

To Remember is Good Reason

from Priest
We are returning to our normal production. With Aeppel back from her trip and Francisco de la Cruz beginning to send us correspondence from his “spiritual location,” we are back and running. de la Cruz insists on sending us letters by mail, so his contributions are arriving slowly to this side of the universe. We have also received some encouraging words from Bishop that the site should continue to grow through inner production through a devise he sent us called the Electrocast. It is a hybrid between a television screen and a heart monitor, which interprets the beating heart into images that are similar to those encountered in dreams; highly interpretable and frightening. Frankly, I am already enlightened by the capacity that our unthinking parts have to produce distinguishably beautiful, albeit random images.
in harmony and reason,
Priest

The Ministry is on Vacation
Thursday, September 24, 2008
from Priest
With Paco de la Muerte still on his existential trip to the regions of “he won’t tell us” and Aeppel; LVR leaving for her mother land, we are a bit destitute of editors and administrators for the next two weeks. I have asked them, as to have the Ministry still in their minds, to record their dreams for an upcoming “Dreams in the 21st Century” article which is shaping up nicely with prophesies of other earths colliding with our own and women in comas who fall into an endless cycle of “waking and falling” within their dreams, making the true wake world seem unimaginable false. Hopefully this upcoming batch will be thicker and more relevant to the transformative alchemical thoughts of today, since our science is in continual metamorphosis and we cannot know it unless we transform with it.
in harmony and reason,
Priest

Johan the Collector
Thursday, August 21, 2008
The Ministry is honored to publish Mr. Johan B.’s excellent introduction to his will and testament, which his family has entrusted with one of our members for the exclusive purpose of bringing this manuscript into the light. As the editor of this site, it is truly a pleasure for me to reveal this man’s brilliant words which are sure to intrigue as well as mystify all who enter through one of the doors of Johan’s collection. As you read, realize that you are tapping into the very corridors of a person who we consider the most complete man in existence. There is no death where he is kept, only the abundance of a will which will remain preserved in the purest mathematics. Please, reverentially enjoy the following excerpts from his introduction.
Thank you,
Bishop

Theatrical Film Spectacle-
“Aylaqruh:hurqalyA”
(other world)
August 11, 2008
Laevus Levus Aeppel
Dorenfeld, Tawd b.’s second self made Feature film, HURQALYA, revives film from the silent era in a reincarnation mingled with stop motion animation, theatrical grandeur, modernist dialogue, and a mind blowing soundtrack. It is a film in five acts (V Acts) performed in its entirety in stop motion and told in a stream-of-narrative-consciousness characteristic of its director’s style. Once again, Dorenfeld elaborates a masterful visual and ideological novelty that characterizes a new movement within art that must depart from the meaninglessness of post-modernism into a reemergence of spirituality, self awareness, and purpose.
Told through a kaleidoscope of images which are in continual transformation -as if they are losing the very essence of their identity- a Man turned Goat seeks the meaning of Death in a world overwhelmed by its own ideologies. Amid puzzles, riddles, cults, and playful esoteric sayings, the Goat wanders helplessly to wherever his path may lead, sacrificing his friend and even his own three lives for a purpose which he himself does not quite understand nor control.
Despite the heaviness of the themes, the use of found objects and toys in the stop motion feature are reminiscent of childhood and perform with a clever whimsicality and slight irony that is delightful for people of all ages, whether interested in the esoteric connotations or in the colorful and otherworldly sets and characters. Crafted to a live soundtrack by Trey Spruance of Secret Chiefs 3, it conveys a complex visual message that travels side by side with the interesting middle eastern/surf guitar sound.
Dorenfeld’s film is a picture of modern spirituality which is globalized and cluttered together in man’s attempt to reconcile technology’s new unifying powers with ancient organic beliefs. However, the film does not attempt to provide the key nor combination for ultimate reality. Instead, its end is the portrayal of the secret fate that most seekers of truth must endure in order to be purified in their mission. It is highly interpretable, and yet, it leads the audience to a set of images and questions which provide answers within themselves. What is the meaning of death? We cannot know the meaning of death. How can we, therefore, understand the meaning of life? We must find the meaning of death.
Whether it be an indictment against vapid spiritual trendiness or a portrayal of the current spiritual and intellectual confusion of this age, it represents a call to war, to lift the idle from their sullen graves into a myriad of questions which can and must be answered in order to push Western civilization forward. What lies beyond the grave has been an enduring question and yet, Western civilization has pushed it into the tar pits of mythology and superstition. While science and nihilism reign supreme in the coffee shoppe conversations of university pupils, time continues to drag us and yet, checking the digital clocks on our cellphones, we are under the impression that we can control it. Dorenfeld reminds us that we cannot.
These fatalist undertones seem to have little to do with the invisible gods which have governed humanity in the past, but with the very unavoidable death which we must all meet face to face. Shall we make an acquaintance with death in order to lull the surprise that is to come? Or shall we continue to ignore our fate and remain under the neon coloured lights of ‘Aylaqruh,’ the current world? The choice is ours, but Dorenfeld reintroduces us to the choice between living in this world or ‘the other world,’ a question that we have dangerously learned to ignore and worse of all, build upon with false intent.
Tawd b. Dorenfeld’s film premiers August 15, 2008 at the Laemmle Grand movie theater in Downtown Los Angeles, at 7 pm. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Downtown Film Festival LA website: www.dffla.com .
Dorenfeld is an award winning Los Angeles film maker known for his feature film, The Anna Cabrini Chronicles, a preemptive film on suicide. To learn more, visit www.POLYMORPHproductions.com
